Back in Parliament, the Finance Minister is pushing for passage of the E-Levy

Ken Ofori-Atta, the Finance Minister, is in Parliament lobbying for the Electronic Transfer Bill to be passed (E-Levy).

He has moved the motion to the House floor for approval, calling for the support of the House.

Charles Adu-Boahen, the Minister of State in Charge of Finance, has been cited on the floor as well.

Haruna Iddrisu, the Minority Leader, accused the Majority of smuggling into the Order Paper during her speech in the House. The E-Levy, he claims, was not reflected in the financial statement. As a result, he doubts the Majority’s motivation for pulling such a stunt.

President Akufo-Addo will make his State of the Nation Address on March 30, 2022.
