With only a few tracks under his belt, Black Sherif is rapidly gaining traction on the international music industry.
The young up-and-coming rap star has been booked for a large international show in Portugal among other well-known acts. In a recent development, Black Sherif has been scheduled to play in July alongside American singers Chris Brown and Meghan Thee Stallion, as well as Nigeria’s African Giant Burna Boy, Davido, Wizkid, and other brilliant performers. Afro Nation is a three-day music festival organized by Live Nation, Event Horizon, Smade Entertainment, and Memories of Tomorrow that takes place every year. Obi Asika and SMADE launched the festival in 2013, in collaboration with BBC 1 Xtra. The platform was created to bring the top African artists in Afrobeats, Hip Hop, R&B, Dancehall, Amapiano, Afro House, and other genres together. At the 2019 UK Festival Awards, the festival was nominated for Best Overseas Festival.
The Afronation event will take place in Portugal’s Algarve Portimao on July 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, 2022.
