Check out how Black Panther star’s estate was shared as he died without will

In the year 2020, beloved Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman fought and died his courageous battle against colon cancer.

Because of the actor’s untimely passing, he did not leave a will, so his estate will be equally divided between his parents and his widow, Simone Ledward-Boseman, who he married after his death. The actor’s estate is estimated to be worth $2.3 million.

According to the records filed with the court, the entire worth of Boseman’s estate was around $3,881,758.

But after paying for the expensive funeral and the legal fees, the total worth is now only $2.5 million in assets and $157,000 in cash.

Ledward-Boseman, who was in charge of settling the estate after the death of her husband, filed documentation that took into account all of the costs that had been incurred. Since then, she has requested that she be reimbursed approximately $50,000 for all of the funeral costs. These costs include the purchase of two mausoleum crypts for Boseman’s parents, Leroy and Carolyn, so that they can be laid to rest alongside their son at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson, South Carolina.

According to the information provided by the source, Chadwick Boseman, Inc. owes an additional tax obligation in the amount of $51,000. Bonds in the amount of $900,000 were also paid out in connection with the estate administration matter.

After accounting for all of the actor’s final expenses, including legal fees and taxes, the late actor’s estate is worth $2.3 million. Ledward-Boseman has requested that the estate be divided in half with Leroy and Carolyn, leaving them each with $1.15 million. It has been determined that if Boseman had written a will, the amount of money that must be spent on legal fees would be significantly reduced.

Although they had been dating since before he was diagnosed with cancer in 2016, the pair married behind closed doors just under a year before he passed away. The two were spotted together for the first time in 2015 at the Los Angeles International Airport, where the paparazzi were waiting. The public did not learn whether or not they were married until Boseman’s family provided confirmation of the Da 5 Bloods actor’s passing.

The statement said that he passed away in the comfort of his own home with his family and wife by his side.
