Checkout list of new transport fares

On Friday, 24 hours prior to the scheduled date of October 29, commuters nationwide awoke to an increase in transportation costs.


The decision to raise the prices in response to hardship was made by the Ghana Private Road Transport Union, and the action is consistent with that decision.


The dramatic increase in fuel prices over the past six months has angered drivers, who have promised to pass some of the expenses onto consumers.

To let passengers know about the revised bus fares, fresh lists have been put at strategic locations at some bus terminals in Accra. The raise comes at a time when many Ghanaians are already experiencing the worst of the country’s difficulties.


Many people are pleading with the government to take action right away to ease their suffering.
