I Have Not Endorsed Bawumia – Former President J.A Kuffour

A while ago, former President John Agyekum Kufuor was in the news for allegedly endorsing the current vice president of Ghana as the flagbearer for the upcoming presidential primaries of the ruling New Patriotic Party. These primaries are scheduled to take place soon.

 

 

 

The fact came to light when the vice president paid a visit to the previous president at his home on Father’s Day as part of the celebrations. Nevertheless, former President Kufour has issued a statement denying all of the allegations, saying:

 

“In the upcoming race for the NPP flagbearership, in order to achieve party unity and sustain it thereafter for victory of the party in the 2024 elections, what President Kufuor expects from the party and political hierarchies are fair and un-engineered systems and processes that would lead to a fair selection of our next NPP flagbearer. ” “In order to achieve party unity and sustain it thereafter for victory of the party in the 2024 elections, what President Kufuor expects from
