McDonald’s is reintroducing Spicy Chicken McNuggets, but not everyone will be able to purchase them.
The spicy nuggets are currently available for a short time at almost half of the fast food chain’s US stores, or roughly 6,900 locations. McDonald’s offers menu items on a regional basis on a regular basis to generate buzz and enthusiasm among its customers.
The spicy chicken nuggets were first presented by McDonald’s in 2020, making them the first new McNugget flavor in the United States since 1983. Compared to its conventional chicken nuggets, the nuggets feature a breaded tempura coating of cayenne and chili peppers, giving them a greater savory punch.
The chain credits the nuggets with boosting sales during the pandemic’s early stages two years ago. McDonald’s sales in the United States increased by 7.5 percent in the fourth quarter of 2021, owing to menu pricing increases, strong digital sales, and popular items including crispy chicken sandwiches and limited-time McRib sandwiches.
For the food sector, limited-time goods are a key marketing technique for attracting foot traffic and curiosity. These goods provide variety to customers, which is important in fast food because it is a traditionally low-margin industry with little client loyalty. Giving folks something new to look forward to encourages them to return.
