John Dramani Mahama, the former president, seems to be in financial trouble following his losses in the last two general elections.
Ghanaians are being urged to support the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate for the 2020 election by contributing to the party’s fundraising efforts.
He has consequently urged around 500,000 “willing” Ghanaians to contribute at least GH10 to the National Democratic Congress’ next National Delegates’ Congress (NDC).
On Saturday, December 17, 2022, the Congress is slated to take place at the Accra Sports Stadium, where more than 9,000 delegates are anticipated to attend in order to pick the party’s national officers for a four-year term.
On Monday, December 5, John Mahama said on Facebook, “The party needs your support to fund this Congress.
“To assist us pay for the congress, I’m asking 500,000 willing Ghanaians, NDC supporters, sympathizers, and friends to provide at least 10 Ghana Cedis apiece. Donations can be made without being a member of the NDC.
It’s interesting that he provided a MoMo number where donations should be sent.
