NDC paid people to hoot at Akufo Addo – Hopeson Adorye alleges

Concerns about President’s  reception at the Global Citizens musical concert erupted on social media over the weekend. During the recently concluded Global Citizen Festival, the president had been introduced to highlight the government’s initiatives to prioritize women’s empowerment among other causes in line with the organizers’ mission for social justice.

However, the young partygoers chanted against the president’s presence even before he had a chance to make his point.

The scandalous and unexpected incident has since gained national attention, with many Ghanaians expressing opposing views on the country’s online scene.

Some NPP party politicians, including Hopeson Adorye, have claimed that the opposition NDC party was responsible for the incident.

Hopeson Adorye asserted in an interview with Okay FM in Accra that the NDC hired 75 Fadama boys to boo Nana Addo with the assistance of Larry Dogbe, Baba Sadiq, the 3 Music Awards CEO, and one Suhuyini.

He continued by saying that Baba Sadiq was behind everything since he knew beforehand from the event’s organizers that the president would be there.

According to the information I had, the Minister of Trade or Tourism was meant to address the crowd at the festival.
