Nduom tells Akufo-Addo to ban the serving of imported foods or drinks at all state functions

Businessman and politician Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has argued that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo should forbid the serving of imported food and beverages at all official gatherings in order to increase local manufacturing.

Additionally, Dr. Nduom stated that only locally made foods and beverages should be used in the school feeding programs.

The founder of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) urged President Akufo-Addo to “totally ban” the importation of chocolate, soft drinks, fruit juices, fruits, poultry, and meats in an open letter. Rice and sugar imports should be prohibited. All state functions must immediately outlaw the consumption of any imported food or beverage.”Only locally produced food and beverages may be used in school feeding programs. Take decisive action to guarantee that native Ghanaians control (ownership) the financial industry at all levels, including banking, insurance, investments, pensions, and others.

“At least 25% of all professional services agreements, including those for architectural, technological, financial, and other services, must be provided by indigenous Ghanaians,” he continued.

A minimum of 25% of all new and renewed concessions for gold, bauxite, oil and gas, diamonds, and timber must be owned by indigenous Ghanaians.

“Native Ghanaians and their businesses must be given complete control of the digitization agenda. Give Ghanaians who had to become citizens of other nations full rights and recognition, including the ability to vote, work for the government, and run for elected office. Can this hurt you? At first, absolutely. But someday, we’ll be a better nation, one whose people can confidently aim for wealth.
