Police Arrests 25 Persons Attempting To Rescue Suspects In Custody

25 people have been arrested in Wa for attempting to forcibly rescue three suspects who are currently in police custody for flogging the protagonists in the Wa sex tape saga.

 

 

On June 1, 2022, suspects were part of a mob that surrounded the Wa Police Station and demanded the release of Sidiki Osman, Bushiran Khigir, and Issahaku Mahama, who had been arrested earlier in the day and were being held in custody by the police. The suspects were arrested earlier in the day.

 

 

These were included in a press release that was signed by the Chief Inspector of Police, Grace Ansah-Akrofi, who is in charge of Public Affairs.

According to the report, an angry mob attacked the charge office and the offices that were adjacent to it with stones and other implements. The report also stated that the youth set vehicle tyres on fire on some of the major streets in the Municipality.

 

 

They also caused damage to some of the streetlights and poles along these roads, in addition to some of the private property that was located along these roads. In addition, they emptied the contents of dust bins onto these roads. The riotous mob was also responsible for blocking the key streets, which prevented vehicles from moving freely, according to the press statement.

It was said that all of the suspects and others who would be apprehended throughout the course of the investigations and proven to be responsible would be brought before a judge for arraignment.
