Psalm Adjeteyfio

On April 18, 2022, Psalm Adjeteyfio, alias TT, passed away. Acclaimed Ghanaian sports journalist Kofi Asare Brako first broke the heartbreaking news on the internet on his Facebook wall.

 

Psalm Adjeteyfio, who was recently diagnosed with end-stage heart failure, passed away at his home in Ayikuma, according to the Kofi Asare Brako.

 

The age of TT’s passing was 74.

Waakye

Prince Yawson, a veteran actor whose stage name was Waakye, passed away on August 2, 2022.

 

Ghanaians, especially cinema enthusiasts, were shocked by the actor’s passing.

 

The cause of Waakye’s passing has not yet been determined.

Waakye was a favorite Ghanaian actor. He became quite well-known after appearing in the hit film “Diabolo.”

Dr Cann

Dr. Cann, a Ghanaian radio host, passed away on March 25, 2022.

 

Born Francis Ebo Cann, Dr. Cann was a renowned entertainment presenter who spent many years with Accra’s Happy FM.

 

At the time of his untimely passing, he was the host of Happy FM’s weekend entertainment program “Showbiz Extra.” The same station’s “Ayeeko Ayeeko” program was hosted by Dr. Cann.

AB Crentsil

Alfred Benjamin Crentsil, also known as AB Crentsil, was a legendary highlife musician who departed this world on July 13, 2022, at the age of 79.

 

Sound engineer Fred Kyei Mensah, commonly known as Fredyma, first shared the sad news on Facebook, confirming the loss of the well-known vocalist.

Baba Spirit

Baba Spirit, a prominent Ghanaian comedian, passed away on September 8, 2022.

 

Shortly after claims that he had survived a spiritual assault, he passed away.

 

During the time of grief, Quappiah, a close friend of Baba Spirit, disclosed how the late comic passed away.

Quappiah claims that the comedian called him inconsolably to inform him that he had fallen from his bed and hit his head on the floor.

 

Later, he hurried home, but by the time he arrived, he had already been taken to the hospital.

 

Unfortunately, when he arrived at the hospital to which he had been sent, he learned that Baba Spirit had passed away.

Ekow Blankson

On October 3, 2022, veteran Ghanaian actor Ekow Blankson passed away.

 

Actor Ekow Blannkson, who played the lead role in the hit show Stryke, was highly regarded.

 

He had a major role in the Accra Medic television series at the time of his passing.

Nana Nsiah Piesie

On April 7, 2022, Ghanaian highlife musician Nana Nsiah Piesie passed away.

 

The musician’s brother, Rev. Stephen Ohene Boahen, shared the information in an interview with Peace FM.

 

He asserts that on Monday, April 5 in Pokuase, Greater Accra Region, Nana Nsiah Piesie was engaged in a collision.

 

According to Rev. Boahen, Nana Nsiah Piesie suffered an internal hemorrhage and broken neck as a result of the tragedy.

 

He was delivered to the 37 Military Hospital in Accra before being moved to the Accra Regional Hospital.

Patrick Safo

Patrick Safo, a well-known Kumawood actor, also passed away this year.

 

According to reports, Patrick Safo drowned in a pool on Saturday, June 4, 2022, and passed away.

 

His close friend posted the actor’s unexpected passing on social media. The actor was also a preacher.

 

“Kumawood actor and pastor, Rev. Patrick Safo is dead,” he posted on Facebook. May the Lord have mercy on his soul.

Osei Tutu

Another well-known Kumawood actor, Osei Tutu, passed away this year.

 

Apparently, he passed away on , May 17, 2022, following a brief illness.

 

Members of the entertainment industry and fellow Kumawood performers broke the news of his tragic death.

 

The charismatic performer, known affectionately as Tutu, co-starred in a number of films with notable actors such as Agya Koo, Kyeiwaa, Emelia Brobbey, and others.
