A Trust fund and an HMO plan have been made available to members of the Guild as of the thirty-first day of the previous month. In a statement that was distributed by the president of the Guild, Emeka Rollas, the Guild revealed the fund committee that will be directed by renowned actress Joke Silva.

“We also established the AGN Trust Fund in order to help put an end to the customary practice of begging for alms in order to gather monies to support our members in times of medical need. This was also done to deter the inappropriate way in which some people publicly reward sick members of the Nollywood community with cash assistance. An excerpt from the statement states, “We consider these techniques to be highly embarrassing for an industry that contributes so much to the country’s GDP.” [Citation needed]

“In order to promote a sense of civility among those who provide this assistance, contributors to the Trust Fund account are given the option of naming particular individuals in need of medical assistance. The Trust Fund is currently being managed by a reliable Committee that is being led by the seasoned actor Joke Silva.
